Why do athesists deceive about these people who knew Christ and wrote of Him?
In a previous question, I read the reply of one bitter atheist after another claim the letters of the New Testament were written long after Christ by people who did not know Him. This is more than misleading, it's making up whatever you want and citing atheist/liberal historians (or claiming to) verses the majority of theological historians who claim authenticity. It's very intellectually dishonest and shows a complete disregard for truth. James and Jude, two writers of New Testament letters were His brothers. Peter, another writer of two letters, was His appostle while alive. John, writer of Revelations was also a living witness as His youngest apostle. Of all the New Testament, Paul alone did not know Christ personally while alive, and he began writing his letters soonafter Christ's ascension. Luke was thought to be a Greek physician, but many theologians disagree on that. Some of the letters circulated within the newly forming church within a few years after the death of Christ as others were added. The Roman Catholic Church did nothing but choose which letters would be assembled into the Canon, as recorded in early Church history. If you do not believe any of these men told the truth, that's your rights, but flat out nonsense, based on minority liberal theologian views is a complete lack of integrity.
