Products for curly hair question...Natural products... :))?

So, today I went and bought the nourishing coconut milk split ends mender so it could moisturize my curly thick hair. Anyways I wanted to buy the Aussie hair insurance leave in conditioner too but the thing is, I really do not want to put too much product in it because in high school I used to put products in my hair such as gel, hair spray, a-lot of that and my hair became thinner! so, I have not been putting any product in it at all,it's now healthier but anyways...what products are good for the hair that won't ruin it, or make it thinner? Should I buy the Aussie insurance leave in conditioner? or is it bad for the hair? Thanks in Advance! :)) Really appreciate it.
