Am I Evil just because I'm a Vampire?

I only take victims because I absolutely need the fresh blood to survive and keep myself nourished. Does that make me just as Evil as all the rest of the serial killers out there? I keep thinking about this and seriously need to know. Its been hanging on my conscious since 1638.
